A perfect guide to show us Sri Lanka
Our driver, Lasith, from LankaMe Travel, was absolutely fantastic throughout our trip. We had the platinum package, and he made every moment feel special. Lasith was always punctual and professional, yet personable and friendly. On my daughter’s 8th birthday (the second day of our trip), he surprised us by decorating the van with balloons, bringing a cake, and playing “Happy Birthday” on the radio which was such a thoughtful gesture.
When he unfortunately fell ill on a transfer day, he kept us fully informed and arranged for his cousin to step in seamlessly, ensuring we were never inconvenienced in the slightest. Once recovered (the following day), he continued with us, always making us feel safe on the road. He shared fascinating stories about Sri Lanka, giving us insights we wouldn’t have had on our own.
All my communication with LankaMe was great - from my first enquiry through to meeting Lasith at the airport. On the day, the driver drove safely and the travel was smooth. They flexibly accommodated changes such as switching to routes that avoided traffic congestion, and we were able to sightsee as planned.” From start to finish to process with Lanka mi was effortless. They kept us informed and planned our trip perfectly. On the first day our driver Damil picked us up and through out the full trip made us feel so welcome and truly made our experience unforgettable. It is hard to list all the positives, but the reason this trip was so wonderful is thanks to Ranjana.
It is hard to list all the positives, but the reason this trip was so wonderful is thanks to Ranjana. He has extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka’s culture, history, society, Buddhism, and major sightseeing destinations, and he made our time in the car enjoyable and engaging.
His suggestions—based on our itinerary and the weather—were excellent. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to enjoy experiences that were not originally in our plans, including an Ayurveda treatment, a full day at Heritance Kandalama, a visit to a spice garden, and learning about Sri Lankan gemstones. He was also exceptionally considerate, and my wife—who was traveling abroad for the first time—felt comfortable and reassured throughout the journey.
He also recommended clean restaurants that suited Japanese tastes, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our meals without any stress. We wish him continued good health and success, and we are already looking forward to visiting the places we could not reach this time with Ranjana again, together with our family and friends. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish—he even timed rest and meal breaks perfectly.
Ranjana was a wonderful guide-driver with rich knowledge of each spot. He kept the flow smooth all day, chose efficient routes so we didn’t lose time, and was thoughtful about small things like toilet and meal timing.
He was also kind with little requests such as souvenir advice. We still have more of Sri Lanka to see and already want to plan our next trip. Thank you for a great week!
