Because it was a three-generation family holiday, it was incredibly reassuring that he came with us for activities like climbing Sigiriya Rock and going on safari. When the schedule changes meant cancelling our original hotels and train tickets and booking new accommodation, he was always there to help, and we are truly grateful for that support.
He constantly gathered up-to-date information from various sources about road conditions and safety, and suggested the best possible routes at each moment. Those suggestions always reflected a real understanding of our preferences, so every single day was a lot of fun.
For meals as well, he took us to restaurants that only locals would usually know about (exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for), and we were thrilled. Every place he chose was delicious – it felt like one pleasant surprise after another.
He was always kind to our child, attentive when they weren’t feeling well or were sleepy, and we appreciated that so much. When our child was too tired to visit a temple, we felt completely at ease leaving them in Chamil’s care.
He is quick-thinking and endlessly considerate, and because all of that comes so naturally to him, both the adults and the children in our group ended up falling in love with Chamil and with Sri Lanka. The next time we visit Sri Lanka, we definitely want to ask for Chamil again.

We were lucky to have Tharinda with us. He was kind, patient—especially with our kids—and his English made communication easy. Always on time, with great recommendations for sights and restaurants, and careful, confident driving.
You’ll probably remember us from that bumpy road between Passikudah and Sigiriya (haha) — we might not choose that one again!
We highly recommend him: attentive, knowledgeable, trustworthy, never speeding or doing anything risky. He was there whenever needed. Wishing him all the best—if you ever come to Europe, let’s meet again. Beer on us!

For this 11-day trip to Sri Lanka with my 78-year-old mother, we requested Ranjana as our guide and driver. To begin with the conclusion, thanks to Ranjana it turned into the best trip to Sri Lanka we could have imagined. Ranjana had studied in Japan and spoke flawless Japanese, and in addition, he had undergone training to become a guide in Sri Lanka, so he possessed extensive knowledge about the country as a whole.
On top of that, his personality and thoughtfulness were tremendously reassuring for us. For my mother, he made frequent restroom stops, searched desperately for the shops we wanted to visit, and when we toured historical sites, he even took my mother’s hand and helped her up the stairs together with me. His attentive care was so wonderful that I could hardly describe it all here.

Thanks to Indika, it wasn’t just a sightseeing trip—it became a colorful, unforgettable journey!
From October 14 to 18, we took a five-day trip to Sri Lanka as a couple. We used the standard plan with an English-speaking driver and were greatly looked after by Indika.
Route:
Negombo → 2) Sigiriya → 3) Kandy → 4) Nuwara Eliya → 5) Mirissa / Colombo
What moved us first was that the very first day happened to be my birthday, and a cake appeared during breakfast! While we were still delighted, we learned that Indika had contacted the hotel and arranged the surprise. He even gave me a cute elephant figurine—my heart was full.
We also had the chance to meet Indika’s family and were treated to his wife’s home cooking (the best meal we had in Sri Lanka!).
Throughout the trip he was a truly dependable presence:
✔︎At popular sights, he explained in advance what to watch out for before we separated temporarily.
✔︎He cheerfully handled early-morning departures and long transfers.
✔︎He introduced excellent local eateries he personally frequents (every one was outstanding).
✔︎He rode the train with us and watched over our safety in crowds, shielding us from sketchy passengers.
✔︎He proposed a variety of plans tailored to us and brainstormed ways to make the trip even more enjoyable.
We’d once been overcharged while traveling in another country, so we were a bit wary at first. But Indika always stayed calm and would say, “If it feels overpriced, let’s skip it.” When something seemed above the going rate or when a different place would be a better fit, he told us so—his sincerity made him someone we could truly trust.
Thanks to Indika, our trip became not just sightseeing but a richly memorable, colorful journey. Meeting him was part of what made it perfect. When we visit Sri Lanka again, we definitely want to request Indika.

Pasidu was a true gentleman who respected our pace and drove safely throughout. He suggested scenic routes and great stop-offs, even helping with photo spots and framing. His quiet attentiveness—like handling our luggage—made everything feel effortless.
We realised how far sights are apart in Sri Lanka; with a charter we could flex plans to the weather and our energy, while a pro driver handled traffic and roads. He timed viewpoints for the best light, so our photos turned out beautifully.
The car was comfortable and conversations were easy; we learned more local culture than any guidebook. With no transport stress, we could savour the scenery, meals and encounters. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip—thank you so much!

Everything ran smoothly from start to finish—he even timed rest and meal breaks perfectly.
